Infanta, is one of the oldest towns in Quezon Province. It is situated in the northern tip of Quezon mainland lying along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, facing the island municipalities of Polillo, Panukulan and Burdeos. It is a solid plane at the foothill of the Sierra Madre Mountains with a total land area of 34,276 hectares.

The town is known as Infanta for 161 years. The name was given by a Spanish Captain named Juan Salvador in 1835 in honor of the eldest daughter of King Phillip II of Spain.

How to get there

Infanta is  easily reached from Manila through a winding road around the lake towns of Rizal, to adjoining towns of Laguna, up to the town of Famy. A refreshing vehicular climb to the mountains greets the travelers. The zigzag road views, river scenery, the lush green fields, and the beautiful and refreshing water of Infanta’s beaches combined with the warm hospitality of locals attract tourists during summer time.

Travel to Infanta from Quezon City & Manila can take anywhere from 3 to 4 hours depending on the traffic condition in Metro Manila.

Land transportation is the most widely used form of transportation in Infanta. There’s a 24 hours daily trip; bus ans L-300 van,  to Infanta from Sta. Teresita Street, Sampaloc( near Arellano University).
